From securing major investments in housing and infrastructure to developing organizational strategies and navigating complex communications challenges, Award Communications helps clients turn ideas into action. Here are a few examples of our work with governments, Indigenous organizations, non-profits and community organizations across Canada.
Award Communications supported the Tłı̨chǫ Government with housing policy development and major federal funding applications aimed at increasing affordable housing in the region. Our work helped secure more than $10 million in federal funding for new housing.
Working with educators and translators at the Tłı̨chǫ Community Services Agency, we developed a bilingual literacy campaign in English and Tłı̨chǫ highlighting the importance of oral language between children and caregivers as a foundation for lifelong learning.
Award Communications has provided ongoing strategic communications and fund development support to YWCA NWT, including funding proposals, media relations, crisis communications and organizational messaging, allowing the management team to focus more of its capacity on serving women and families.
Award Communications has supported GNWT departments with communications strategy, public information campaigns, executive communications, speeches, marketing initiatives and major public-facing projects.
Through research and community engagement, we developed strategies to strengthen the Yellowknife Farmers Market, including increasing local food and vendor participation and assessing the feasibility of expanding to a year-round market.
NAPEG was looking for a way to connect with engineers and geoscientists, and encourage people to follow registration requirements. We facilitated a strategic planning session and developed their communications plan to help them move the organization forward.
