As the largest provider of low-income housing in the capital city, this client was looking for a way to share their good work and serve those who needed their services. We developed a communications plan and supporting materials to help them spread their message, and continue to provide ongoing communications support and insight when needed.
We researched and drafted an employee housing policy for the Tlicho Government, as well as coordinated and drafted two extensive Federal funding applications to increase the amount of affordable housing stock in the region, resulting in more than $10 million granted to this Indigenous government.
We interviewed some pretty amazing women and wrote feature articles detailing their clients' business journey, which were profiled on AWE's website, social media and promo publications.
Working with educators and translators at the Tlicho Community Services Agency, we researched and developed a literacy campaign in both English and Tlicho with a focus on the importance of oral language between children and caregivers and its connection to life-time learning.
The Giant Mine Oversight board was struggling to stay within their scope while also ensuring they were communicating their important work to key audiences as part of their mandate. We worked with them to develop a comprehensive communications and outreach strategy.
Creating memorable events through event promotion and management, as well as the design of promotional and fundraising materials to support their work in patient care enabled the Stanton Foundation to focus on their mission: raising funds to support patient care at the hospital.
We provide ongoing communications and fund development support to the Northwest Territories' oldest organization serving families across the territory: social media, crisis management, media outreach, grant proposal development and more - so this non-profit organization can concentrate on helping women and families.
From developing a communications campaign on a new airport fee, to a cold weather testing marketing plan, to speech writing for Ministers, writing tourism materials and producing promotional videos, we've done a little bit of everything for the Government of the Northwest Territories.
We've worked on two great projects here, both shaped by extensive research and community engagement: A strategy to increase the amount of fresh produce and vendors at the weekly market, and a feasibility study on the possibility of expanding to a year-round market.

Corporations can have strict rules around social media, but we worked with Dominion Diamond Mines to develop a social media plan including a Social Media Policy to ensure posts and the plan were within corporate guidelines while still encouraging active public engagement.
